Mechanical Design Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY:
Utilize skills in mechanical engineering to support new product development, research, and ongoing manufacturing operations. Successful hands-on candidate will interact closely with marketing and manufacturing operations to define and execute business-relevant research and product development functions. Emphasis will be on mechanical design of implants and accessories.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate on interdepartmental teams for early new product development
Conduct product development through conceptualization, prototype, qualification, and release to manufacturing
Develop new mechanical designs and subsystems as required for new medical products
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to develop system and subsystem specifications
Documentation of all designs and analysis

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Proficient in SolidWorks design (or similar CAD tool)
Significant experience (>3 years preferred) in at least three of the following engineering fields:

Medical Devices
Dynamic Systems
Finite element analysis
Materials
Piezoelectrics
Design of plastic injection molded parts

Self-motivated
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Results and team oriented
